Frogmen Catfish Rodeo
The Frogmen's Catfish Spearfishing Rodeo is comin up on Saturday, October 21, 2006....
It will be held in Madisonville at the boat launch at the end of Lake Road on the Tchefuncte River. Weigh in ends at 3pm sharp. There will be 5 places for catfish awarded and one non-catfish misc place. Cash payout will be based on amount collected for entrance fees. Spearing is open to Lake Pontchartrain and Maurepas areas and tributaries only. Spearing will begin at 6 am on Sat Oct 21st and end at 3pm Oct 21st. Entrance fee is 15 dollars and misc is 10 dollars. Commitments must be made by 8pm on Friday Oct 20th. Contact Don Scott at 788-0245 or Scott Brady at 9859661266.

Chris, that is an nice lemon shot on a freedive. Congrats on making the most on that short tuesday trip! Are you going to enter in the catfish tourny?
Thanks man. It's my biggest fish so far. Conveniently, I forgot to mention in my post about the 40lb drum I missed Monday. It was like a vw bug going past me - don't ask. I got excuses though if you want to hear them.
Catfish tourney. I'm there. You interested in going? I'll try to talk Cyril into taking two boats if we got a bunch of people interested in doing it. Right now, he's on my boat though, and I got another guy on standby. Let me know.
